Your subscription

Your account

Your provider's site has an account page where you can look after your subscription yourself. Open it from Your account at the top of your provider's subscribe page.

This password is only for managing your subscription. It's separate from the password you use to watch on Plex, Emby, Jellyfin or Silo.

Getting a password

You don't need an account to subscribe. There are three ways to get one:

  • Right after you pay. Once your payment is confirmed, your status page shows Create your account. Choose a password (at least 10 characters) and you're signed straight in. You have 7 days after paying to do this from that page.
  • From an account link. Your provider may email you one (often in your welcome email), or you can ask them for one. Open it, choose a password, and you're signed in. A link works once and lasts 3 days.
  • Forgot your password? on the sign-in page emails you a link, if your provider has email set up. It works even if you never set a password.

You sign in with the email you paid with and your password. Five wrong passwords in a row lock sign-in for 15 minutes. You stay signed in on that browser for 14 days, or until you click Log out.

Forgot your password? Click Forgot your password? on the sign-in page and enter the email you paid with; a link arrives by email. If your provider doesn't send emails, the page says so: ask them for an account link instead. Either way, the new password replaces your old one.

Your details are private

Your email, name and payment handle are stored encrypted, and only your provider can see them.

Like on their own server, your provider can see what's playing on your account and what you've watched over the last 90 days (the title, device and the first part of your network address), to help with problems and to keep accounts from being shared.

Finding your way around

The top of your account shows your subscription at a glance: your plan and whether it's active, when it renews or runs out (and how many days that is), how many streams you can use at once, and whether your servers are online. Your provider may also leave you a note, shown in a box just below it. Below that are your account's pages:

  • Overview: your subscription, with Renew, Change plan, Change servers and Cancel, plus your servers and your latest payments.
  • Servers: your joining details and How to watch for each server.
  • Streams: what's playing on your account right now.
  • Payments: every payment, with receipts.
  • Settings: your details, email preferences, password and Log out.

What you can do

  • See where your subscription stands: your plan, its price, how many streams it allows at once, and when it renews or ends.
  • Renew (crypto, Venmo or Cash App): choose how to pay and click Pay. The time is added on to the end of what you've already paid for, so paying early never loses days. Card subscriptions renew by themselves, so there's no Renew for them. See Renewals and missed payments.
  • Cancel, and Keep my subscription to undo it before your paid time runs out. See Cancelling.
  • Start again after your subscription has ended: pay for the same plan, and you're set back up on the same servers.
  • Change password (under Settings): this signs you out on your other browsers.

Your details and emails

Under Settings > Your details you can change:

  • Your name.
  • Your Venmo or Cash App name. If you pay by Venmo or Cash App, this helps your provider match your payment to you.
  • Send me news and offers by email. Untick it to stop news and offers. Emails about your subscription and payments, such as receipts and renewal reminders, still come.

To change the email you sign in with, contact your provider.

Notices from your provider

Your provider can post a notice, such as planned maintenance, across the top of their store and your account page. Some also email it to you.

Changing your plan

Click Change plan and pick the plan you'd like. Before you pay, you see:

  • The price of the new plan.
  • Extra days for the time you've already paid for. The part of your current plan you haven't used yet is turned into days on the new plan. For example, with half of a $15 month left, moving to a $30 plan gives you about a week extra. Free trial time doesn't count, and there's nothing to carry over once a payment is overdue.
  • Which servers you stay on. If the new plan doesn't include your server, you pick one of the servers it does include.

Then choose how to pay and click Pay and switch. The new plan starts once your payment arrives. If you pay by card, your card isn't charged until the extra days are used up. A card plan you're leaving is stopped automatically, so you're never charged for both.

Your servers

Each server you're on has its own box:

  • Online, Offline right now or Checking. This shows whether the server answered the last check (the check runs every half hour). If it says Offline right now, the problem is on the server's side, not yours.
  • Your joining details, such as your Silo Create your account link, the Plex invite, or Set your password for Emby and Jellyfin.
  • How to watch. Click it for step-by-step joining instructions for that kind of server. Some providers add their server's address and tips of their own here too. See Joining your server.

Change servers lets you pick which kinds of server you're on (Plex, Emby, Jellyfin or Silo), up to the number your plan includes. Your price stays the same. A new server is usually ready within a few minutes. Servers you leave stop working for you. A Silo account you leave is switched off, not deleted, so your watch history is still there if you come back. A kind of server marked Full can't take anyone new right now.

Streams

Streams shows how many of your plan's streams are in use right now, and what's playing on each of your servers, on which device and how far through. It checks again every 20 seconds.

Click Stop to end a stream, for example on a TV you left on, so you can watch somewhere else. If you see a stream you don't recognise, stop it, then change your password on that server.

Payments and receipts

Payments lists every payment you've made, how you paid, and the dates it covers. Click Receipt to open a receipt for any payment, then Print or save as PDF to keep a copy.
